Alexi Moon lived with his mother, father, and sister in Manavik for a majority of his childhood. Alexi's father moved their family out to a small homestead east of Manavik when the war first broke, hoping to protect his family from it's horrors. The war eventually caught them when a group of soldiers came to their homestead demanding his father enlist and for their resources for the war. When his father refused, the soldiers attacked and killed Alexi's family. He then spent months wandering the forest when a wizard by the name of Cenecus Ward took him in and taught him gloom stalker magic.

Irig was born into the Magdud orc tribe which was known for their overwhelming devotion to the Harun, the god of light. Being taught that Harun is the true god of all, Irig became a holy warrior for his tribe, defending themselves multiple times from the growing kobold threat. One day spelled the end for his tribe though when the kobolds attacked, using the same tactics that his tribe had used to defeat them. During the battle, Irig was incapacitated and fell unconscious. When he awoke, his tribe had all  his people had been destroyed and he vowed to evoke righteous vengeance against the kobolds to destroy their entire race.

Jeshur was born in a small house owned by a small time Count in Manavik. Some years later the noble families of Manavik bought the land the Mohan's were living on and were forced into the streets. While still just a child, Jeshur took to petty theft to help feed himself and his mother. One day he had unknowingly attempted to steal from Jack, the "King" of the Thieves Guild, and was given an ultimatum, join the guild or die. Jack had seen potential in the young boy and took him as his apprentice, refining Jeshur into one of the best thiefs in the Guild. His years with the Guild have morphed is morals and one day, Jeshur stole from the Guild's treasury, making off with his largest score yet. He has since then been on the run, scamming people out of their coin at every town he travels to.

Wulgreth is a brilliant mind, fascinated with the history of the arcane and where it came from. His youth was spent in libraries and books, studying everything he could about the arcane. he attended the University of Arcane Studies in Manavik and connected with a young elf. After graduating, the two continued their work that lead them to exploring the ruins of an ancient civilization that once ruled Calaxa. During one of their exhibitions, Wulgreth found a lantern glowing faintly with a purple light. When he reached out to pick it up, the lantern attached itself to his belt, and the ruins around him collapsed, trapping him. He later escaped and now searches for answers about what happened to him, and how to rid himself of this curse.
